3/18/2011 Today was a day of refresh because we had Stake Conference for central America. Heard from Boyd K. Packard. Spoke a little Spanish and then said That all he knows and he had an interpreter speak for him. I really enjoy his talks. I hope and pray every one is doing well at home. We used to good to church and try to talk to Jose Gonzalez but he always made jokes and would walk away. His hair is a little long but ya know that doesn’t bother me at all. He is return missionary that they say went astray but seems to come to church every week and all is at the other activities. Well our hot water went out and I called our repair man three times here on the inland with not avail. At one of the activities, Fellowship night they call it I saw the fix it man and he said he has been busy. We made an appointment for him to come by in two days. I tried again to talk with Jose Gonzales and this time he told me he was an electrician. I said do you want to come to my house and see if you can fix our hot water. He said yes. He came by and told me it was the pumps that were bad. If I would buy the pumps he would put them in. I said we will buy them tomorrow and so he put them in and now we have hot water. A simple story but really it was not. He has called me twice now since then, once to help him get a ride to the branch activity and the other time to help his sister get a blessing. He seems like he is our friend now and it is funny how small things can bring people together. Mom was boiling hot water on the stove because at night the water is so cold. It does seem like we are camping. Thank goodness we did some so we don’t have to learn that on our mission. That Sunday the fix it man said he was going to come by and fix out problem but I told him we had already fixed the problem. He did not seem to happy about it. His name is Osmar and he is trying to get married to this gal that is a non-member. We saw her last week with Osmar at the fellowship night. Her name is Lesbee. Older gal but seems very nice. I hope they get married soon. We had our Fiesta de Playa and it was a success. Ya always wish more people would attend but there were a lot that did come. We had hotdog, water mellon and Corn. Most of the kids came and swam in the ocean while mom watched them. She is getting prettie close to the kids since she see them all the time. I was mister taxi because it is so expensive for the members to go far way places. WE have three cars in the branch and one of the cars didn’t show up and so it was me and Hermano Molina. I think he ate 5 hotdogs so he was a happy camper. It reminded me of home and when we went to the beach. There is just a friendship that seems bring people together sitting by a fire or barbeque and hang out. The kids had a great time and it just seems to bring us closer together. I hope what we try to do here will be a lasting effect for the future because it seems they need more we can offer. I try honestly to pray before we do certain things so that we have the lord involved in all that we do. The book of Mormon is such a great book to read. I am so amazed how much information is in that book and how much you can learn from it. I love each of you and wish you the best in your life and the life to come. I know this life is not all we have and I know what we do in this life will help us become who the Lord wants us to be in the next life. Those that have died before us and those that will die after us will benefit from the life we lead here on this earth. It is not all about us but about what we can do for others that is important. I thought is was tough to do for others when we have time but that is not what the Lord wants from us. He wants us to do for others when we think we have not the time. That is the sacrifice that means most to the Savoir. Lv you alwasys. Dad
