Sorry for not writing my email a week. We went to Santa Rosa Copan for a meeting with the district president and the leaders of some branches. Not a lot of people showed up but we felt it was a success. Sometimes we feel if we just affect one person that it makes our mission all worth it. We met a missionary couple that was called to serve in the areas of Copan and find jobs for the people there. We are supposed to train them in the art of finding and adding the companies to a list in ldsjobs.org so the members can have access to the list. Computers are hard to come by the further out you go from the center of the big cities and this place is over 3 hours away. Most people sale something of their own for a business but some do look for jobs. We decided to change our wheels and go into a different direction and use computers but not make it our driving force for jobs. Our next destination is networking with in the community you are in. Not only does the church have a network of people that can help you find a job you can organize your own network of people. One of the members got up and told this story. She said she just moved here from Utah and did not have a job. She told everyone she met and now she has three leads to get a job. Wow that is the answer to one of our questions. Networking is the best way to find a job even in a poor county like Honduras. It’s not who you know but how many you know that makes it work. The more you ask the more chances you have in landing a job. I honestly never had any Idea how the job market works and we have struggled to find the answers for so many good honest people that just want to work. We have seen the ones that work the hardest in looking for a job usually get a job. We tell them it is a full time job looking for a job. The language has been one of the hardest obstacles to overcome. It seems we get the job done but it takes a lot of effort to get our point across. I hope one day we will be able to communicate everything feel in our heart. I know the lord blesses us beyond our wildest dreams and sometimes these blessing come in a way we least expect them. Having missionary called in places we cannot help because of our distant to travel back and force has been one of the best blessing we have received. Another one is our ability to find churches that we have meeting to pop up in the street that we go down. It happens again in Santa Barbara we have to be at church at 9am for sacrament and we drove down this one street and there is was. It has have happen to us a least a dozen times in our mission. I wonder if the lord just lets us find the churches easy because let me tell you there is no signs or directions on how to get to these churches. I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and know if you follow his will things will work out no matter what. I have question many things in my life and have come to a conclusion that I am still here and I am alive so why am I so worried about things. I have gain an appreciation of the Book of Mormon like no other and truly know it is an inspired book for all who will take the time to read and digest its contents. After reading the book of Mormon in Spanish it has given me a new view on what the Nephites and lamanites went through and the little words that I never would have realized come to life and I begin to think how I miss that in English. Wow I ask each one who it reading my email today to read the book of Mormon every day and it will help you with what life offers you. Believe it or not but once you do it you will agree. Thank you all for being my friend. I truly have a love for you that is hard to describe but it is stronger now than when we left. Take time to enjoy life’s moments with your kids and cherish life to its fullness. I have so much to live for and so much more to do here on this earth. I love you all . dad
