3/6/2011 This week has been one of the hardest I have faced so far on our mission for the Lord. I have learned a great deal that from this experience that I must trust in the Lord because some times that is all that is left to have faith in. Your faith is one of the most important possessions you will have in this life. You lose faith and you have nothing to look forward too. My faith has been hit with a torpedo and there is a big hole where I thought there was hope. I am trying earnestly to plug the hole. Honestly the only one that will be able to do that is the Lord. We have done some good and have help some find jobs in this crazy place. We have tried to help the leaders of this area that this is the Lord’s church. Not the Honduran way or the gringo way but the Lords way. I testify to you now that we will survive the storm and will come out on top on to high ground. Of course I will take no credit because I know that the lord work will go forth no matter if I do it or not. So since we are already here we should just continue to work through each battle until he let us go back home. I want each one of you to know that I pray for your success every day. That those blessing that we are told will come with dedicated service will go to you and your families. So that your families will stay together and become stronger in your faith of Jesus Christ. Last Monday one of my friends ran a stop sign of which he could not see because of the tree in front of the stop sign. Hit an oncoming car and flip there SUV and they landed on their side. ***our old car** Elder Burns arm had road burns up to his sleeve of his g-mocks. I know he was protected and preserved to do a work of the lord. Everyone wants to kill burns since there is only one care left for the whole mission. The other car is in the shop for an indefinite period waiting for a part from Toyota. I went to get our laundry and they gave our laundry to someone else. Lucky they were just sheets. We had a sister’s family stay with us for a couple of days. The father got sicker than a dog and had to fly home the next day. We have started our English class and there are about 30 or so attending. We have 5 attending our self-improvement class and about 5 to 20 attending our start you own business class. It a constant reminder to have people show up but it seems to be working. There is a lot to change here and we don’t just want to be another missionary that came and left. They return doing the same things after the missionaries leave. There got to be progression and without leadership no progression can take place. Teach them correct principle and they govern themselves. The principle of leadership. Being an example is what we all need to do first and then follow through. I need to be a lot better with my example and be able to look at myself and see that I am doing better in helping others. I need to forgive and I need to forgive and I need to forgive. I have a long road to go. I first need to change my self before and I can ever think about changing others. I pray that I can really figure out how and do it. I am open to any advice you can give.
