12/11/2011 We are really tired. We had meetings in the city of la Ceiba which is about three hours away. Two of our volunteer quit or one did quit but the other just never showed up. He is the one that made the appointment three weeks ago and said he is busy taking exams. So the secretary of the stake got on the phone and got three more volunteers of which mom trained while I ran around picking up the Pef people and taking them to the hotel. We ate at my favorite restaurant that serve king crab but was disappointed when they gave me black crab meat and told me that is was normal. They try to prove to me that are right even though they know they are wrong and until you give them the stern look and raise you voice a little they know you cannot be taken advantage of. I ordered langosta which is lobster. Mom you would be in heaven to receive what I got. Three good size lobsters for 25 dollars. It did fill me up, first time in my life that lobsters filled me up. The meat was white. So my favorite place came through. The next day we spent the morning at the port because the couple servicing in Tagus (the capital city) as PEF ;reps. *perpetual educational fund, is having family over and they want to go to Roatan. An inland off the coast of Honduras. They found a small ship to take them for half the price. That afternoon we taught the Career workshop to 6 employment specialist and some other leaders. We thought 30 would come but only 9 should up. The rain I think stop them from coming. It was crazy driving here because the roads were flooded and I was hoping our little car would make it through and it did. That that night at about 1 am my food told me to that is was time to get rid of it and so I got sick from the food I ate next door to the hotel. mom threw half of her plate away because it was not good. It tasted just fine but sometimes they don’t give you hot food and you don’t know how long it was sitting out. Service and good food is hard to come by here. Luckily we don’t eat out very much. This morning we set up a 5 minute commercial at a ward we have never been to. I did get some directions but directions here are… Well here is directions I got. Go up to the main street where pizza hut is, drive away from San Pedro Sula, turn left at the Popeye’s, go down 1 or two blocks and turn right go down 5 blocks and just ask someone where the Desperados Bar is and the church is next to that. We were diffidently lost for 30 minutes. Must of ask 10 people where the bar was and it was not until we ask where the Mormon Church was that we found it. Go figure. If you are looking satins lair then he will let you go around it circles but when you are looking for the Lord’s place you end up finding it. It taught me a great lesson. I could not find my talk and so I had to speak from the cuff. I guess it turned out better because there was no questions. This mission stuff is hard work and don’t let anyone tell you different but ya know I love to do hard work for the lord. I have so many things to repent of and somehow we are blessed n spite of that. The Lord is real and his work is open to whoever wants to serve. I am grateful for you and I do love you so very much. I do miss you and will someday be there where you are and just want to hug you and thank you for being my children. Lv alwys Dad
