7/5/2012 Another day gone by in the San Pedro Sula Missioin. We had a great time with Angel, Luis and the little guy. Mikailo. \I really enjoyed his smile and his attitude when Angel was next to him. He is a sweet kid. He did let me hold him at a baptismal we had on Saturday when all the Chaos that goes around that happens before the actual event. Pictures and who’s doing what and oh ya lets get started. A Sister that is getting married to a member got baptized. She is prettie cool. Has a testimony and wants to go to the temple. Her kids are being taught now. The Elders are doing a great job here. No none sense type of guys that if your ready we will teach you and if not then we will find some one that is ready. We took Angel to the beach and ate some local food but mostly ate at home since the food here is not really great and the restaurants are very expensive because of the tourists. Got a chance to play Rook and you never would guess who won. Yes mom…….It was so much fun having Angel here. I really can’t believe how much I miss you guys and it will be great to see and hug each one of you. Last week I got in another accident. Supposedly a car was tuning left while I was pulling out to go left. I didn’t see his blinker and he took this wide turn around me and I ran into him. |He got out and said it was my fault that he had his blinker was on. He ask the missionaries if they saw his blinker and they both said no. I didn’t either. I felt that it was partly my fault but not totally. He was a taxi driver and just wanted his car fixed. He called his car body guy slash painter and he showed up and wanted 1500 limps to fix it. Which is 75$ bucks. He estimated my car to fix at the same price and so I said we are even. The Taxi frecks out and says he will call the cops but since the cars are moved there was no way he could prove his case. I said go ahead and call the Cops. The cops will come and you will have to pay them and then you will have to pay me he said. I ask the painter for a lesser amount to fix the car, he said 1200 lmps which is $60. Just then a cop pulls up. I said okay I will pay the money. I paid the the money and felt like he was taking advantage of me but sometimes you have to let go and take the lost. President told me some time you will have to pay money to get out of the some situations. There is no fairness that goes on here. I am a lot more carefull and since that time I see cars all the time turning into streets in a wide type turn and then suddenly turn sharply to make the turn complete. Most with out a blinker. I see little miracles that happen here. Because of your own devotion to a righteous cause the Lord blesses you with little miracles and shows you that you are on the right track. Most of my life I never took notice of those little miracles that the lord has given me. I always felt I needed to do more and work harder to attaining the blessing the lord wants to give me. But since I have been here I have noticed that our attitude is the key that opens doors. When your back is up against the wall and how are you going to fight back? Fire with fire or is it going to be go ahead and burn me because I know I am doing the right thing and anger does not help and even hurts the situations. Makes matters worse. The Savoir taught us to love our neighbor as our self. Your neighbor could be your enemy or some one that is trying to take advantage of you and if you just love them then the lord will bless your life. One principle that is so hard to live and I want so much to have the patience to just say. I am sorry you feeling that is there some thing I can do to fix it. With out have a bad attitude. Love those that hate you or want to do harm to you with words or physical is just plain hard to do. I love the lord with all my heart and want to be like him for he is my hero in life.
