2000-2001 - Cindy On Love, Children, And Nearly Not Making It

Hi Honey, I had a thought. I was thinking that maybe you think X don’t love you because I dont’ smother you anymore. I feel a lot more trust in our relationaship and I feel like I can do things on my own now. When we were first married I must have driven you crazy with all my whining and feel sorry for me attitude. You were the only thing I had except the kids and they were all little and not very good at carrying on a conversation. I was jealous X think of your time away from us which was a lot back then. I was sooo insecure. I think my love for you is better now. I want to be with you but I don’t have to be with you. I look back on the years we’ve been through and wonder how we ever made it. I think Heavenly Father has helped us so much. We’re still here together and that’s how we want it. We have some of the greatest kids on earth right in our very own family. Who would of thought that Steve Roper and Cindy Gahr could have ever turned out kids like this. But you and I know that a lot of who they are happened before they ever came to this earth. I just feel so blessed to be their mother and I know that you are so grateful to be their father. You are such a wonderful Dad. Today I thought about some Of the similarities between you and Jeff McCraney. You both love your children so much. You both aren't the conventional Mormon dad but you are truly sincere in what you do and say. I couldn't have asked for a better father to our children. I thank my Heavenly Father for letting us be together. For helping us through all those times we nearly didn't make it. We must love each other Steve, we couldn't have made it any other way. Thank you for taking care of us. For all the wonderful and fun things our family has done together. For what we’ve seen and heard and learned about this world, our church and ourselves. Thank you for loving me. [Private marital-intimacy details omitted from the public edition.] I do love you with all my heart. Cindy
