10/29/2011 Another week has gone by and we are doing just fine here in Honduras. A lot of struggles that we are faced with but when a ball that is let go will hit the floor and bounces only to return in your direction. Then we can catch that ball, let it bounce or increase its ability to return faster back to us. If we are smart we will control the bounce so that we can move in the direction that we want to go. This is called dribbling in basketball. It took me a long time to attain that control to be able to move toward a goal, or basket so to speak and catch the ball after it bounces and drop it in the basket. The result is a point for the team but ya know the ball still comes down and bounces on the floor but the difference is direction the ball is going. It still bounces but the result is different. Can we control our dribble in life and reach the Goal our heavenly father wants us to attain? The answer is yes. Some say our goal is eternal life. Which is a great goal to have but we cannot even begin to understand to how to attain that unless we can master what the lord has given us in this life. So what has the lord given us in this life? Our spirit. How do we master our spirit? Praying, attending church and temple, serving others and reading our scriptures. Prove me now herewith, the Lord has told us. If I will not open the windows of heaven. If you will but exercise the principle by living it that you will receive the blessing. I have done this several times in my life. I knew not why the lord has commanded me to do certain things but I went ahead and did them. Attending the temple every month was one of those things I could not understand why it was so important but I went ahead and did it. I know now why the temple is so important. It completes eternal families and seals them forever and ya know you only go once for yourself and all the other times you serve others. One blessing I would not of known if I did not trust in the Lord and do what he has asked. Another item is reading the book of Mormon from the beginning to the end. In the last three years I have read the Book of Mormon four or five times, once in Spanish and now I know why the lord has asked us to do it. Scriptures are like gold falling down from heaven. If you want to be rich, read the scriptures every day especially the Book of Mormon. I pray that you may understand what I am trying to say. It time so get on the right path and stick to it because the signs of the times are upon us now. The Lord Jesus Christ will come again and the time is not to far off. I am not a prophet and I do not profess to know any more knowledge that anyone else. But I am worried about the world and how it has taken a turn for the worse and if we have our houses in order then we need not fear. Please take time to pray every day and read the scriptures and you will be bless with the power to know and live its principles. I know this to be true will all of my heart and pray for you kids to know the same. I love you more than you can possible know and want you to be able to see the things that I have seen. We pray for you almost every day of our lives and want you to be able live the truth because you desire to do so. I love you . all . Dad
