2012-03-05 - Letter 5 3 2012

3/5/2012 Hello every one. I hope life is good with you all. I thought the employment center was hard but over here is a lot of work. Showed up for church and they ask me to bless a baby, oh two babies and then after the second baby a third. Five minutes before church started and I was totaling lost in how to bless a baby. It is hard enough to do it in English on the fly but in Spanish. I ask a brethren to write down in Spanish the words to say because \I had no idea. The last baby I blessed was teancum and before that Tima. I guess it went well. What the branch President is saying something to me. Oh you want me bless the sacrament too. Okay. By the time sacrament was over i was so very tired. Oh what I have to conduct in priesthood and I have to give the lesson too. I really don’t know how it gets done but it seems to end and I get a chance to lay my head down and sleep. Sleep is a blessing on a mission. We don’t have the mariachi’s singing or gun shots at night any more. Just the wind and down pouring rain, Tropical weather. The priesthood lesson was supposed to be 40 minutes long but I ran out of Spanish words to say 5 minutes early. I hit a mental block and said it’s time for closing prayer and we ended kind of early. I really don’t know how we do it. Mom conducts primary and has done a great job in organizing and the kids look forward in attending primary now. Discipline does not happen to much here and so sometimes you have a hugh brawl with all the kids punching each other and they do not listen to words. I know it is hard on your mother and \i do what I can to help her get through it. Your mother has amazed me at times. I remember yesterday listening to her testimony about how the gospel has helped her n her life and it brought tears to my eyes. I enjoy the time when she bears her testimony because she chooses her words and each word she says has deep meaning and the person receiving the testimony can feel of her strength . I wish you could all see you mother and how much she has grown in the gospel. If we did this for money we would have quit. The gospel is true. We met an older man that has left the church yesterday. He owns a restaurant in Sandy Beach. After the sisters bore there testimony he was asked if he knew the book of Mormon can be true. He said Never…..How can someone be so hard. Once you have had the truth and have bore testimony to in then deny it. It a coldness that gives me shivers and I have a hard time understanding why he has chosen that path. He denys everything that he knows and lives on this doctrine that he knows is untrue to satisfied whatever intention he may have but it is not what he says it to be. I am so grateful to have the gospel and to know that it is true. Everything fits into place and those that deny it deny the power there of . I know that to be true because I saw it yesterday and I testify to you now that the gospel is true and by living its principles we grow in that testimony. Lv you all Dad
