Aloha Mom & Dad How's it? Hope Okay.
Last week was a real drag. We hardly got anything done. It rained for a period of 2 1/2 days straight. The Elders in Wainai got flooded out. It about 20-70 miles away. Those in our district.
Besides that I'm just doing alright. I'm so glad - happy - trouble is doing alot better. Hope they survive the two [years]. Just think I've been out on my mission for 2 months now. Before ya know it Kerry will be home, then Brassfield, Jearson, then me. Doesn't that sound great but ya know I love it here.
We went a member house last night they feed us and we mess around over there. It was like home. The members are so friendly and welcome. It's just great.
Maybe if it stop raining will do some marvelous work and Wonder who knows. Last week we were losing this family. They stop smoking for a while but they started again. I felt like they were goners but I started to talk telling them my testimony and I felt the spirit so much that I had to see if I was still standing on the ground.
We were late coming home but it didn't matter because the spirit guided us to stay. I also most cried my eyes [out] inside because I was happy. So happy that I never want to come down from that kind of a high. It's so great and if it wasn't for you Mom & Dad I wouldn't have these sensation. I do love you and I love my work.
Is dad on a diet too? Hope so.
About Paul and the weights - don't ask him, just bring them over to his house. Tell him that I know he want them. No question, because me and him talk about it. Tell dad to get in with Paul and start a program weight lifting to lose that belly of his. Mom I know he wants to borrow [them] cause he said he did when I [was there].
Mom & Dad I was even busier this week but I felt like that I didn't need to find more people to teach cause we were teaching about 15-19 [discussions] a week. ... Last week hardly any teaching we have about 30 call backs.
Don't know how long I'm going to stay on Oahu hope not to[o] long. ... Got to run alot of work sorry I have to end so quick but I'll start another [?]. Love you lots.
[Page 5] Mission president over here now. He comes to Guam about every 3 months. It's the first time that I've seen him for 2 1/2 months. The talk last night in sacrament meeting was a very good talk. The pres. talked about an experience where he was interviewing a missionary couple in April and the Bro. Brackford excuse himself to go to the restroom. In ten minutes he was dead. Last week and before that they baptized 7 people.
Well I received your letter dad and it's great to hear about the truck working and also about Rod going to new movies. That's great. Well I got to go. Maybe next week I'll have more time to write. Sorry I'm so short. Love you a whole bunch.
