1976 Mission Period - My Family Comes Before The Church
[Page 1] Hafa adai Mom & Dad I hope every thing fine and dandy? Mom I forgot to write to Sandy not because I didn't want to but I got the Sandy's mix up and I got a letter shortly after ya told me about Sandy but it was from Shortie not Johnson. So I thought every was cool. Now I know and I'll write to her. But Dennie, is there any thing else I can do? I tried my best but nothing happen, as ya see there isn't any thing I can do? Steve referred briefly to repentance and forgiveness. Private details are not included in the public edition.
Is Wayne & Lin going to Church? How come they have not written?

His wife back and "boy" he is happy again. There was some serious problem between them but now it looks good. Bro Wallner is like an entirely different person. It's great.
How's Mike's parents doing? Is she feeling all right. Mike wrote me and I think I wrote him. I'm not sure.
Last week we were teaching the legal advisor to the governor and he said he can't understand why organized religion. We dwell on that all night. I looked at my watch and found it too late so I said B.J. I got to ask
[Page 3] ya a very important question and I'm not kidding. I said B.J. I want you to prepare your self for Baptism in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints on Sept 25th. He was standing up at the time. He said Can ya hit me with any thing harder. And started to laugh, and as he saw that we were kidding he sat back in his seat and changed the subject. We started to leave and he said Why don't ya ask Tessie and we'll get baptised together... Tessie is his secretary and we're teaching her also.
I'm praying and hoping that he can find the answer he needs to change his life cause he's living in deep sin. No dad I don't go fasting to often, but I do go when one of the members ask me.
