Early 1980s - Letter To Cindy
[Page 1] Long while no card again. I'm just not a card man. Sometimes I go to the store to pick one out and I can't find one because no body but me can say how much I care for you. Not any writer can put my feeling on paper and so I just thought I would express how I feel about you.
Honestly I know we have our ups and downs, but we seem to always get over them, which truly tells me that you love me so much. I have NEVER felt as much love than from you, and maybe that's why my failing are so touchie when things aren't going like they should.
I love you more than you could ever imagine, probably because of the way I show it. You take it to mean something else. When you are away I worry about you and pray that you will come home safe. Is that love? You may not know it, but when I come home [from] school I try to help with the kids in my own little way, play with them [and] take baths - is that love?
Long time I want to buy ths store out for you. Alot of time I go and pick many thing for you but end up putting them back because of lack of funds.
[Page 2] Is that called love? I don't know. All I know is if you were around any more I would be terribly hurt as much as any one has ever hurt me before - is that true love - I write my feelings down because I'm rather a quiet guy when it become my feelings.
For I living with ya for four year I think your great. There's nobody that I would trade places with now or at any time.
Have a joyous birthday and a happy year to come.
Love, Steve
